Forest School - Autumn Vibes
There have definitely been some autumnal vibes in our Forest School sessions this week especially with the change in weather! We discussed why the leaves change colour, tried to identify which tree a selection of leaves had come from using ID charts and enjoyed a Tree Trumps game.
Pupils in Year 2 had the opportunity to make an autumn suncatcher using 'treasures' from Forest School - please have a look at these displayed on their classroom door. They have also made some bird feeders using windfall apples, pumpkin and sunflower seeds. We hope the birds enjoy them!
Year 3 have been finding out how to play a traditional conkers game. Their aim was very good! Some of the biggest giggles came from a group who were playing 'rescues'. Great fun was had by tying a rope around your tummy and being pulled up the bank by your friends while escaping shark infested waters!! Mrs Copland thought it was a fantastic example of teamwork, turn taking and a great way to practise knot tying!
