LEARNING SUPPORT ASSISTANT

Monksmoor Park CE Primary School is renowned for its exceptional support for children with additional needs. We are seeking a proactive, enthusiastic, and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join our wonderful team. The ideal candidate will have a "can-do" attitude, a great sense of humour, and a strong commitment to teamwork. If you are passionate about making a difference and share our Christian ethos, we would love to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support for a child with complex needs, both in the classroom and during unstructured times.
• Assist with mobility equipment and personal care, including toileting, hygiene, and feeding as needed.
• Support the use of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) systems.
• Prepare and maintain specialist SEN resources to enhance learning.
• Foster independence, inclusion, and positive social interactions.
• Engage fully with training opportunities to meet the evolving needs of the child.
• Embrace and model the school’s Christian values in daily practice.

Preferred Experience:

• Supporting children with cerebral palsy or other physical disabilities.
• Using AAC systems to support communication.
• Delivering personalised learning and care plans.
