Forest School - Building, Bravery and Blustery Days
Year 3 had a very blustery Forest School session on Wednesday and we really admired their perseverance when battling the wind to build a den. Charlie was very keen to construct one before any rain came and wanted it to be big enough to hold everyone which we thought was very kind.
Year 4 had the opportunity to use a mallet to hammer nails into a piece of wood. Great teamwork (and bravery!) was seen in this activity as one child often held the nail while another used the mallet. They then wound wool around the nails to create a spiders web. Fabian amazed us by hammering the nails into a heart shape without the use of a guide or template.
Children were also able to finish their acorn cap mushrooms by adding some floristry moss and painting them if they wished. We think they look fabulous!
