Year 3 - Calm Badgers Club
Year 3 have been working hard in maths this week. They have been learning to convert pounds and pence to pence as well as add and subtract money amounts. The children have also been continuing to generate sentences for their explanation text. They have used alliteration and repetition for effect as well as powerful adjectives for description. In history, the children have been learning about the Bronze Age and how this is similar and different to the Stone Age.
In DT the children have designed their own automaton cams. The children have thoroughly enjoyed this and have been very creative! In our PSHE lessons (the children have called this our calm badgers club) we have been looking at minor setbacks, good communication as well as ground rules to help us get along. In our science lessons we have started to look at the functions of roots.
