Forest School - Conker Champs
There has been a definite turn in the seasons and autumn has arrived at Forest School. Years 4 and 5 have been enjoying the traditional activity of playing conkers this week. We used conker clamps and palm drills to very carefully drill a hole through our conkers and then tried to use our knowledge of knots to keep them on the string! It was lovely to see the children enjoying themselves with lots of laughter, discussion of rules and dealing well with the jeopardy of a large crack appearing in their conker!
The children also had the opportunity to create autumn mobiles or bird feeders of their own imaginative design as well as the favourite activities of den building and bug hunting.
