This week Year 4 have been learning about contour lines on OS maps and that topography is the physical shape of the landscape.  We looked at Borough Hill on an OS Map and compared it to the topography of the land around Monksmoor Farm where our estate was later built on.  We had a go at making our own cardboard hills to bring the contour lines to life.

In PE we have started our new unit: Handball. The children have been enjoying the mini games developing the skills and great teamwork has been observed. 

Our English work on The Journey, by Aaron Becker, is coming to an end.  This week we have been flexing our vocabulary muscles by coming up with sensational similes and vivid descriptions to describe the plot points in the story.
