GLK Academies Football Coaching

Dear Parents and Carers

We are pleased to be able to add to the offer of extra-curricular clubs at Monksmoor Park this term.  We have engaged GLK Academies, a specific and experienced football coaching provision to offer a before school club and a girls only lunch club.

The before school football club is open to all Year 3 and Year 4 pupils on Mondays at 7:45 am.  There is a limit of 20 spaces available so booking is essential.  The club will cost £2.00 per week, bookings and payment need to be made on the Pay360 Education Payments website.  

Your child should arrive at the door to the School Hall (facing the car park) at 7:45 am where they will be greeted by the GLK football coach.  Please ensure your child arrives at school dressed in suitable outdoor clothing and trainers/football boots on club days, including waterproofs if necessary.  School uniform and school shoes should be brought to school in a bag for your child to change into after their club.

During previous football opportunities, we noted a number of girls decided to stop playing as they lacked confidence.  Building on the success of the Women’s World Cup and to enable these children to feel confident, we will be providing a girls’ only lunch club free of charge.

The lunch club is open to girls in Years 2-4 only on Mondays.  There is a limit of 20 spaces available so booking is essential.  The club must be booked on the Pay360 Education Payments website.

The club starts on Monday 7^th November and the children will attend the club before having their lunch in the Hall.  Please ensure your child brings suitable outdoor clothing and trainers/football boots to school on these days, including waterproofs if necessary.

We look forward to GLK Academies bringing their coaching experience to Monksmoor Park to develop a school football team that will compete in local competitions in the future.
