Year 3 have been busy writing a colour poem in English. In maths we are finishing of our topic on mass and capacity. We have been investigating shadows in science, while in our ‘Through the Ages' topic we have been studying how tools have developed.

Cricket is the new unit in PE and we've been developing our throwing and batting skills. In DT the children began to make plans to apply their knowledge of cam mechanisms to a practical project. They learned about automata and produced plans to make a child's toy including a cam mechanism.

The children combined the skills of making a clay pinch pot and hand building with coils to try and create a Bell Beaker style pot with a flared lip, in art and design. This was very tricky and required lots of perseverance.
