Forest School - Sparks and Dreams
We had some fabulous firestarters in Year 2 this week using the 'Dragon's sneeze' to create a spark. It takes a lot of effort to push down hard enough at the correct angle but the children admirably demonstrated our shine value of 'never give up'. Some even went on to attempt lighting their own small 'fairy fire' which took even greater perseverance. We're super proud of all of you.
It was lovely to see some of the Year 4 children use their knowledge of knots to make themselves a fishing rod while they were sailing over the puddle on their hand-built boat. Others used knots in their construction of some beautiful dreamcatchers. The children enjoyed selecting a suitable piece of willow to cut and then secured it round into a circle before adding decorative elements.
