19th December 2024:  

No year group is more excited about the coming of Christmas than Reception! In the past two weeks we have decorated our tree, turned our role-play into a post office and written many letters to Father Christmas.

In Maths, we have been looking at "1more" and "1 less" and looking at different representations of numbers to 5 in our number sense learning. We have also been looking at the properties of triangles and squares and made collage in the style of Paul Klee using these shapes.

Well done to our well-deserved Shine recipients of the last 2 weeks; Michael and Malachai. However, I have to say that all the children have shone in different ways and have demonstrated our value of Joy. Have a lovely Christmas!
