This term in RE we have been learning about the Jewish festival of Chanukah. Last week we learned about the miracle of the oil and what this story teaches Jewish people about God. This week we held our very own Chanukah celebrations! This included making our own menorahs, playing dreidel and learning about the special foods used to celebrate. 

In computing we have been learning about IT and how it is used in our everyday lives. This week we had to work in groups to do the jobs of a supermarket checkout. We did a great job but realised we couldn't do it quite as quickly as the scanners in the shops, and so IT makes some jobs quicker and easier than they would have been a long time ago.
