Year 3 bring their art to life
Year 3 have been busy with our learning over the past couple of weeks.
In English Writing we are continuing to read The Iron Man and are preparing for our independent write next week! In English reading, we are still reading The Stone Age Boy and recently learned about Skara Brae.
In maths we are coming to the end of our place value learning and look forward to starting addition and subtraction next week.
We have been continuing to work on our handwriting using Kinetic letters which we do most mornings. We will be starting to track our fantastic improvement on a weekly basis moving some of our morning work to sheets allowing us to monitor and celebrate our progression as the year goes by.
On a Thursday we enjoy either Forest School or art. In art we have been learning about shading and practising texture pictures which has taken us outside! We have also been brushing up on some of our grammar skills, focussing on conjunctions for the last few weeks.
In computing we have been bringing to life our drawings using our IT skills and in PE we have been working on teamwork using symbols to show mapped areas which we built in teams.
We continue to share our success and news with each other in the mornings. We are learning a lot about each other and enjoy hearing everyone's updates.
