Year 3 - Learn to make ratatouille
Year 3 have had a busy week. They have been completing end of year quizzes as well as their regular lessons. The children have been dissecting and identifying the parts of flowers. The children have been developing ball and racquet skills in tennis and have also been learning about food technology. They learned how to use a peeler safely and how to cut vegetables safely using the bridge and claw methods. Learners used their knife skills to prepare a ratatouille using a slow cooker. We also had a lesson about cooking methods and prepared potatoes cooked 6 different ways! The potatoes were sampled (and much enjoyed!) at the end of the morning. The favourite method for taste seemed to be the part-boiled then fried potatoes, with roast potatoes coming a close second.
