In design and technology, Year 4 have been finishing last term’s unit on simple machines. This is a companion project to their work on Ancient Egypt. The children have been wondering how the Ancient Egyptians managed to build their enormous pyramids and tombs using only simple machines. Recently their innovate project was to design and make a prototype of a machine that would have been useful to the Ancient Egyptian tomb builders.
