Our Easter Service and Easter Garden Competition
What a wonderful 'outdoor' Easter Service we had, despite the rainy weather!
All the children were fabulous and kept their composure whilst they made a quick dash inside to escape the rain! Years 3 and 4 were tasked with assisting Rev. Dawn retelling the Easter story, they did a marvellous job leading the younger year groups with their tuneful singing and actions and dancing.
Thank you to all the family members who shared the morning with us and waited patiently in the rain whilst we managed to reorganise the children, in the School Hall. Your support was much appreciated by the children and staff!
There was a superb quality of Easter gardens entered into our competition this year. The entries really showed that the children have an understanding of the Easter story. It was especially pleasing to see many natural resources and garden/household items used thoughtfully. The independently created gardens are increasing as our children get older - this is wonderful to see!
The anonymous entries were judged by a group of our school governors and a winner from each year group was selected and awarded an Easter egg prize.
Well done to Elliott, Taye, Phoebe and Winnie, Amelia, Milena and Sophie!
