Year 5 make a seasonal soup
This week Dragonflies have been working hard to secure their understanding of numbers to 1,000,000 by comparing, ordering and partitioning six-digit numbers using number lines, place values charts and their amazing brains!
We have continued to work on our narrative poem in English and in science we explored how the mass of an object affects the amount of friction generated when trying to move the object on different surfaces. While half the class enjoyed a dry afternoon in Forest School the others made some tasty, seasonal, soups with Mrs Brock.
Lastly we have been thinking about what God means to us and Christians around the world and thought about where do we get our ideas about what God is like, referencing to parts of the Bible – as an outcome of this learning we created our own small art pieces that we will be combining as a whole class piece in our floor book.
