Forest School - Bird identification
Hedgehogs are continuing to think about birds in their Forest School sessions. This week we spotted a nest in the hedge around Forest School and some of us had a go at creating our own for the toy birds. We discussed how it was nice for nests to have a soft lining and thought feathers or leaves might be good for this. The children also had the opportunity to make their own 'peg birds' which we could peg in the trees. We played a game to help with bird identification and are becoming more confident at recognising a blackbird, blue tit and robin.
