In Year 1 we have been very busy with our topic on 'Bright Lights, Big City'. We have been focussing on the geography of the United Kingdom, learning about human and physical features of the UK. This has included fieldwork where we walked around to spot human features near our school. We have built a 3D town using our design and technology skills to create buildings out of junk. We have also created some maps for a town thinking about the human features we would want to see. We were very excited this week when we worked collectively to complete a puzzle of the UK. We used the puzzle to recap the four countries and capital cities.
