Book week has been celebrated by Reception in Forest School. We shared the story of 'Superworm' by Julia Donaldson and thought about all the ways in which we too are 'super'. We then set off to hunt for woolly worms and discussed how it was much easier for us to find the brightly coloured ones rather than the worms which were more camouflaged to their surroundings. There were opportunities to make our own superworms and play as superheroes as well as all the normal Forest School fun. Some children were very interested in searching for real worms, watching how they moved and working out which end was which!
