Year 1 have been enjoying our new topic ‘Paws, Claws and Whiskers’. In art we have been looking at animal-themed pictures. We discussed how they have been created, identified similarities and differences and which ones we prefer. We have had a go at creating some of our own pictures in a similar style.

We have also been exploring colour mixing and mixed our own orange and green to create paintings of tigers in the jungle.

Our new vet’s role play area has been enjoyed by all and has been used to help some poorly teddies, and we have created some animal scenes in our small world area.
