On 4^th December, Year 2 had a fun-filled trip to Northampton Town Football Club. This coincided with our learning about Walter Tull this term. We were lucky to have a tour of the stadium including the changing rooms, tunnel and dugout, where lots of us pulled our best "football manager" poses! 

We spent some time thinking about the events that happened in Walter Tull's life and whether they were fair or unfair. We talked about the meaning of the word RACISM and how to appropriately challenge or report it and then created our own posters to stand up against it. We also enjoyed visiting the Walter Tull memorial to see it in real life. 

The children were full of enthusiasm and asked lots of interesting questions throughout the day.
